When the glass is hit, every second counts.
RiotLite buys you time.
Ordinary glass fails on the first strike — and that’s all an intruder needs. The RL-27 forced-entry film bonds to your existing windows, holds shattered glass in the frame, and turns an instant breach into a barrier attackers can’t get through fast enough.
- ASTM F3561 Level 3
- Independently tested

Your glass is the weakest point in the building
Every door and window is an entry waiting to happen. These are the threats that start at the glass — and the ones RiotLite is built to stop.
Smash-and-Grab
One brick or hammer and your storefront is open in seconds.
Forced Entry
Burglars break the glass and reach the lock — straight inside.
Active Threats
In a lockdown, unprotected glass is no barrier at all.
Storms & Debris
High winds turn flying debris into glass-shattering projectiles.
Vandalism & Riots
Civil unrest and repeated strikes ordinary glass can’t survive.
Standard glass was never built to resist an attack
It’s not the lock, the alarm or the camera that fails first — it’s the pane itself. Here’s why an unprotected opening gives way the moment it’s hit.
Glass Shatters Instantly
Annealed and even tempered glass break on the first solid impact, collapsing out of the frame and leaving the opening wide open.
Alarms React Too Late
Cameras and alarms only document a breach that’s already happened. By the time anyone responds, the intruder is already inside.
Nothing Holds the Pane
With no membrane bonding the glass together, there’s nothing to absorb repeated strikes — and no delay between attack and entry.
The RL-27 turns glass into a barrier
The RL-27 security film system is engineered to enhance glass performance under extreme impact and forced-entry conditions — bonding to your existing windows and going to work the instant it’s struck.

Absorbs repeated strikes without catastrophic failure
The RL-27 is a high-tensile-strength film engineered to absorb repeated impact forces under ASTM F3561 testing conditions. Where bare glass shatters and falls away on the first blow, the film keeps the pane intact and standing.
Strike after strike, the membrane spreads the load across the surface and resists penetration — buying the seconds and minutes that turn a break-in into a failed attempt.
- Engineered for extreme load absorption
- Survives repeated impact without catastrophic failure
- Validated under ASTM F3561 test conditions
Delays penetration when every second matters
An ASTM F3561-validated system, the RL-27 is designed to delay penetration attempts by maintaining glass attachment and resisting sustained manual attacks — the difference between an intruder walking in and giving up.
That delay is the whole point of physical security. It keeps the barrier standing long enough for people to reach safety and for responders to arrive while the attack is still outside.
- Delays intrusion after impact
- Maintains glass attachment under sustained attack
- Buys critical time for lockdown and response

Holds broken glass in place — no flying debris
When glass does fracture, advanced adhesive bonding retains the fragments within the frame, reducing hazardous flying debris and maintaining barrier integrity instead of leaving a gaping hole.
That means safer occupants during storms, blasts and break-ins — and a system that keeps supporting continued barrier function even after the glass has been hit hard.
- Retains fractured glass within the frame
- Reduces hazardous debris and injury risk
- Maintains barrier integrity after impact
What RL-27 actually does for you
It comes down to one thing security can’t buy any other way: time. Here’s what that protection delivers across your site.
More Time to Respond
Delays forced entry so people can lock down and responders can arrive while the threat is still outside.
Fewer Injuries
Holds shattered glass in the frame, cutting the flying debris that causes injury during storms and attacks.
Stronger Deterrent
An attack that visibly fails turns your property into the one intruders skip and move on from.
One tested film, protecting every kind of glass
The RL-27 ASTM F3561 window film system retrofits the openings you already have — from a single storefront to an entire campus.
Retail & Storefronts
Stops the brick-and-hammer breach that empties a store in seconds — keeping the glass standing while alarms and response kick in.
Schools & Campuses
Adds critical delay at entry doors and ground-floor glass, giving staff and students the seconds they need to secure a room.
RL-27
Government & Civic
ASTM F3561 Level 3 performance for courthouses, agencies and public buildings where the threat profile is real.
Corporate & Office
Hardens lobby walls of glass and entrances without changing the look or replacing a single pane.
Healthcare & Banking
Protects pharmacies, teller lines and after-hours entries that are routine targets for forced entry.
Houses of Worship
Discreet, high-strength protection for entrances and assembly spaces, with no impact on the architecture.

Security film questions, answered
What facility and security teams want to know before they specify RiotLite.
What does ASTM F3561 Level 3 actually mean?
ASTM F3561 is the independent test standard for forced-entry-resistant fenestration systems. It subjects the glazing to a defined sequence of impacts and manual attacks, and measures how long the barrier resists penetration. Level 3 reflects a high tier of sustained resistance — the RL-27 was independently tested to that standard rather than simply rated on paper.
Is security film bulletproof?
No — and we won’t claim that. RiotLite is a forced-entry and impact system: it’s engineered to delay intrusion, hold shattered glass together and resist repeated strikes. That delay is what protects people and property by buying time for lockdown and response. Ballistic protection is a separate category.
Do I have to replace my windows?
No. The RL-27 is a retrofit system that bonds to your existing glass, so there’s no full window replacement and no construction. That’s a major reason it’s so cost-effective to harden an entire building.
How does the film stay attached when the glass breaks?
Two things work together: a high-tensile film that resists tearing, and an advanced adhesive bond — often paired with an attachment system to the frame — that retains fractured glass in place. The result is that even after impact the system maintains glass attachment and barrier integrity instead of collapsing out of the opening.
Will it change how my building looks?
The RL-27 is a clear, discreet system designed to harden glass without altering the architecture. From the street your storefront or facade looks the same — the protection is invisible until it’s needed.
What types of buildings is it for?
Anywhere glass is a target: retail and storefronts, schools and campuses, government and civic buildings, corporate offices, healthcare, banking and houses of worship. We start with a site assessment to identify the openings that need protection most.
